And this feeling is what I share with you when  you visit My Grandmother's  House.  So for a bit of the history - this house was an ice shed on the North end of        Orr's Island.  My Grandfather bought the land and moved the building to Lowell's Cove     on a piece  of land  that was in my Grandmother's family.  This was in l933. My Grandparents were born and brought up on the east side of the cove, were childhood sweethearts and remained that way through all the years they shared. This home was home to more than just the immediate family.  My Grandparents had loving hearts that brought any one with needs into their lives.  And when you enter through the kitchen  door, you too feel this welcoming.  My Grandmother was the carpenter in the house.     She did the floors, made the stairs, remodeled every room and made the shutters     which are still on the house.    My Grandfather was a good carpenter.  He made his       own wooden tool chest that he would put aboard his lobster boat and go out to Ragged Island to do work for Edna St. Vincent Millay (My mother's middle name is Edna.)  But   my Grandmother did the work on her own house.  My Grandparent's passed on by l990.  My Aunts and Uncles decided to sell and I asked to buy.  This home is more than special   to each one of us who shared any part of my  Grandparent's love and life.  You too can experience a step back in time.  A time when life was simple.  To listen to the quiet sound of the waves rolling on to shore.  To watch the tide come and go.  A time when your need to connect to what means most in life - the comfort and love of your Grandparent's home and an inner peace. This is pure connection.

                                                   Come and enjoy
